The shorts stand or fall on the satin. Ours is a 100% polyester satin in the 140–160 GSM range, the weight band traditional Thai-style shorts are built in: light enough to move with a fighter through full-range kicks, dense enough in the weave to hold embroidery without puckering and survive gym laundry cycles.

We run it in two finishes. The traditional high-sheen satin is the classic Muay Thai look, the finish worn in every stadium in Bangkok. The peachskin option is the same base fabric with a lightly brushed surface: matte, soft to the hand, and the choice for brands building a modern aesthetic rather than a retro one. Swatches of both ship with every sample request, because no fabric description replaces a swatch in hand. We lead with the sample, not the adjectives.

Waistband: Wide elastic waistband with internal drawstring, built to sit above the hip and stay put through clinch work. Contrast waistband colours and woven or printed waistband branding are standard customisations. Alternative waistband configurations can be specified in your Tech Pack.

Side slit: The high slit is what separates a Muay Thai cut from every other fight short: the hem never restricts a high kick or a knee. Slit height is set per your Tech Pack or matched from a reference sample.

Seams: Woven satin is not stretch knit; it is not flatlocked. Our satin shorts are assembled with double-needle stitched seams throughout, bar-tacked at the top of each side slit and at stress points, where satin shorts fail first.

Decoration: Direct embroidery for lettering and crests, the traditional finish. Stitched satin appliqué and patch work for large panel graphics, side stripes, and contrast trims. Heat transfer where the artwork calls for it. For brands wanting all-over printed graphics, we offer a sublimated microfiber Muay Thai cut as an alternative to satin.

All cuts are available through full OEM pattern grading: submit a Tech Pack, or send a reference sample and we reverse-engineer the pattern, including slit height, waistband build, and leg opening.

Most of the world’s fight gear comes out of two countries: Thailand and Pakistan. Thai factories carry the heritage and the authenticity signal, and for a retail brand selling on “made in Thailand,” that origin is the product. But if you are building a private label brand on your own name, the calculation changes.
