Squat-proof opacity depends on both fabric composition and GSM. For guaranteed opacity, we recommend a minimum of 220 GSM. For standard gym leggings, we use an 85% Polyester / 15% Spandex blend at 240 GSM — fully opaque, durable, and ideal for high-impact training. For a premium soft-touch feel, we use an 80% Nylon / 20% Spandex blend at 240–280 GSM — this produces the buttery texture associated with luxury activewear brands while maintaining full opacity. Both blends provide 4-way stretch and moisture-wicking performance.

Nylon/Spandex and Polyester/Spandex are the two most common legging fabrics and each suits different brand positions. Nylon is softer, has a natural sheen, and produces a more luxurious hand-feel — it is the preferred choice for premium yoga, pilates, and lifestyle brands. Polyester is more durable, more colour-fast, holds sublimation printing more vividly, and is more cost-effective per unit — making it the standard for gym leggings, compression wear, and high-volume printed activewear. A scrunch butt legging (also called a booty scrunch legging) features a gathered vertical seam sewn through the centre of the seat panel. When the legging is worn and stretched, this gathered seam creates a lifting and sculpting effect on the glutes. At GYMHUR, the scrunch is engineered directly into the pattern grading rather than added as a separate seam — this ensures the scrunch retains its shape and depth through repeated wear and washing. We manufacture scrunch leggings in both Nylon/Spandex and Polyester/Spandex constructions, available in high-waist full-length and 7/8 lengths. MOQ is 50 pieces per design.

All performance leggings are constructed using 4-needle, 6-thread flatlock stitching. This technique creates a perfectly flat seam that sits against the skin without chafing, provides maximum stretch across the seam line, and prevents blowouts during high-intensity workouts. We include a diamond or triangle crotch gusset as standard on all legging styles — this reinforces the highest-stress point of the garment and provides enhanced mobility during squats, lunges, and yoga poses. Heat-bonded hems are available as an alternative to stitched hems for a completely clean edge finish.

Yes. We offer full OEM pattern grading from XS through to 3XL as standard. Extended sizing beyond 3XL is available on request with a custom grading fee. Our pattern team grades plus size leggings with specific adjustments for fit — including waistband width, seat panel shaping, and thigh circumference — rather than simply scaling up from a standard pattern. All sizes are available within the same 50-piece MOQ per design, and we recommend ordering a sample in each size range before committing to bulk production.

We manufacture all major legging styles to OEM specification: full-length high-waist (the most popular gym and yoga style), 7/8 length (ankle-grazing, popular for yoga and studio wear), capri (mid-calf, popular for warm-weather and cycling), and biker shorts (mid-thigh, popular for athleisure and gym wear). Feature options across all styles include scrunch butt construction, tummy control panels, no-front-seam construction, mesh panel inserts, hidden waistband pockets, and side leg pockets. All styles and features are available from a 50-piece MOQ per design.

Our minimum order quantity starts at 50 pieces per design or colourway — lower than most competing manufacturers who require 100 pieces minimum. Pre-production sampling takes 10–21 days including pattern making and fabric sourcing. Once your sample is approved, bulk production averages 3–4 weeks depending on order complexity. Air freight to the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia takes 7–12 days. Sea freight takes 25–40 days. Orders using in-stock fabric colours are processed faster than orders requiring custom Pantone dyeing or sublimation printing.
