Biker shorts and compression shorts are often used interchangeably but have slightly different connotations. Biker shorts typically refers to the mid-thigh, high-waist style popular in athleisure and gym wear — usually made from a soft-touch Nylon/Spandex blend at 200–240 GSM. Compression shorts refers to a tighter, more performance-focused construction using a higher-compression Polyester/Spandex blend, often worn for muscle support during high-intensity training, running, or cycling. At GYMHUR we manufacture both — and the distinction is primarily in the fabric weight and compression level, both of which you can specify in your Tech Pack.

We manufacture biker shorts in two primary fabric constructions. For a premium soft-touch feel, we use an 80% Nylon / 20% Spandex blend at 220–240 GSM — this is the construction behind the “buttery soft” texture associated with high-end activewear brands. For performance and compression-focused styles, we use an 85% Polyester / 15% Spandex blend at 220 GSM — durable, vibrant sublimation-printing, and fully squat-proof. Both fabrics provide 4-way stretch and moisture-wicking performance. Squat-proof opacity is guaranteed from 220 GSM upwards in both constructions.

We offer four inseam lengths: 3-inch (booty/mini cut — popular for hot yoga and dance), 5-inch (standard biker short — the most popular everyday gym and athleisure length), 7-inch (mid-thigh — slightly longer coverage popular for studio and lifestyle wear), and 9-inch (cycling length — extended coverage just above the knee for cycling, spinning, and running). All inseam lengths are available across all styles and features within the same 50-piece MOQ.

Yes. Our scrunch booty biker shorts feature a gathered vertical seam engineered directly through the seat panel of the short — creating a lifting and sculpting effect when worn. The scrunch is built into the pattern grading rather than added as a separate seam, which ensures it retains its shape and depth through repeated wear and washing. Available on 5-inch and 7-inch inseam styles in both Nylon/Spandex and Polyester/Spandex constructions.

Yes. We offer full OEM pattern grading from XS through to 3XL as standard. Extended sizing beyond 3XL is available on request with a custom grading fee. Our pattern team grades plus size biker shorts with specific adjustments for fit — waistband width, seat panel shaping, and thigh circumference — rather than simply scaling up from a standard pattern. All sizes are available within the same 50-piece MOQ per design.

Yes — and this is one of the most popular requests from activewear brands. We manufacture co-ordinated biker shorts and sports bra sets in matching fabrics, colours, and branding. The MOQ of 50 pieces applies per style — so a matching set requires 50 shorts and 50 bras as separate line items. Both can be sampled together in the same sampling round to ensure colour and fabric consistency before bulk production.

Our minimum order quantity starts at 50 pieces per design or colourway — lower than most competing manufacturers who require 100 pieces minimum. Pre-production sampling takes 10–21 days including pattern making and fabric sourcing. Once your sample is approved, bulk production averages 3–4 weeks. Air freight to the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia takes 7–12 days. Sea freight takes 25–40 days. Orders using in-stock fabric colours are processed faster than orders requiring custom Pantone dyeing or sublimation printing.
