Cycling Jerseys
Our custom cycling jerseys are manufactured in Polyester/Spandex (90/10) at 150–180 GSM — the standard performance construction for road cycling, gravel, and club kit. The Polyester/Spandex knit delivers full 4-way stretch, superior moisture-wicking, and rapid dry time while holding full dye-sublimation printing with exceptional colour accuracy and vibrancy wash after wash. Every jersey is cut to an aerodynamic racing fit or a more relaxed club fit depending on your brief, with standard features including a full-length YKK or SBS front zip, three rear pockets, silicone hem gripper, and flatlock seam construction throughout to eliminate chafe on long rides.
We manufacture both short sleeve and long sleeve jerseys, in men’s and women’s-specific patterns. Women’s jerseys are cut with a shorter front panel, narrower shoulders, and waist shaping for a correct anatomical fit — not simply a scaled-down men’s pattern. Custom sublimation artwork covers the full garment including sleeves and collar, with sponsor panel placement available to club and team specification. Zip garage at the collar, reflective trim, and arm gripper are available as additional features. Club cresting, name printing, and number placement are standard for team and event kit orders.
Bib Shorts & Padded Cycling Shorts
The chamois is the most critical component in any pair of cycling shorts. GYMHUR sources multi-density foam chamois pads with antimicrobial top fabric — constructed with varying foam densities across pressure zones, with thicker padding under the sit bones where pressure concentrates and thinner, more flexible foam in areas that move with the pedal stroke. Men’s and women’s-specific pads are available as standard: women’s pads are wider in the sit bone area and shorter in the front panel to match female anatomy. All pads include an antibacterial top surface to prevent bacteria growth and odour on long rides.
We manufacture four padded bottom constructions:
- Bib Shorts: Bib straps in breathable mesh eliminate waistband pressure and keep the chamois correctly positioned throughout the ride. The most comfortable construction for rides over two hours. Available in standard road cut and women’s-specific pattern with a drop-seat or front zip bib option for easier nature stops. Fabric: Polyester/Spandex 80/20 at 200–240 GSM. Silicone leg gripper standard.
- Padded Cycling Shorts (waist): The entry-level and club standard construction. Elasticated waistband. Lower cost than bibs and preferred for riders new to padded cycling shorts or for event souvenir kit. Same chamois pad options as bib shorts. Fabric: Polyester/Spandex at 200–220 GSM.
- Bib Tights: Full-length bib construction in a heavier Polyester/Spandex at 240–280 GSM for cold weather riding. Includes chamois pad. Flatlock seam throughout. Available with and without a thermal fleece inner lining. Silicone ankle gripper or ankle zip for easy removal over shoes.
- Padded Cycling Tights & ¾ Tights: Waist-construction padded tights in 240–280 GSM for cold weather use. ¾ length ending below the knee is the preferred construction for transitional weather — cool enough to need leg coverage without the commitment of full winter tights.
All padded constructions are available in men’s and women’s-specific patterns from MOQ 50 pieces per design.
Cycling Jackets — Waterproof, Softshell & Lightweight
We manufacture three distinct cycling jacket constructions, each suited to different riding conditions and brand positioning:
- Waterproof Ripstop Shell Jacket: Ripstop Nylon or Polyester outer with a waterproof membrane and taped seams. Packable construction that folds into its own rear pocket. Full-length YKK zip with inner storm flap. Extended rear panel for coverage in the riding position. Reflective elements on rear and sleeves for visibility. Available in standard and hi-viz colourways. The race-day rain jacket — deployed when conditions deteriorate mid-ride, carried in a rear jersey pocket.
- Softshell Jacket: Bonded softshell construction combining a wind and water-resistant outer face with a soft, comfortable inner fleece backing. Designed for cold-weather training where full waterproofing is not required but wind protection and warmth are. Full zip front, cuffed sleeves, fitted hem. The training jacket for winter club rides and pre-race warm-up.
- Lightweight Shower-Proof Windbreaker (Gilet & Full Sleeve): Lightweight woven Polyester with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating providing shower-proof protection without the weight or pack size of a membrane jacket. Available as a full-sleeve jacket and as a sleeveless gilet — the gilet being the most popular piece of cycling outerwear for variable conditions. Both available in standard and hi-viz colourways.
All jacket constructions are available with custom sublimation panels, club cresting, and sponsor logo placement from MOQ 50 pieces per design.
Woven Cycling Trousers & Long Shorts
We manufacture woven cycling bottoms for MTB, gravel, and commuter cycling brands where a less Lycra-forward aesthetic is required. Built with 4-way stretch woven Nylon or Polyester/Spandex and cut with a cycling-specific high-rise rear panel, articulated knee, and extended back rise to account for the riding position.
- Woven Cycling Trousers: Full-length 4-way stretch Nylon woven trouser with cycling-specific pattern. Compatible with a separate padded liner short worn underneath, or manufactured with a sewn-in chamois liner. YKK ankle zip, water-resistant finish, zip pockets. The MTB and commuter cycling trouser that looks functional off the bike as well as on it.
- Woven Cycling Long Shorts (3⁄4 length): The same 4-way stretch Nylon construction in a below-the-knee length. Preferred for MTB trail riding, gravel riding, and sportive events where full Lycra bibs are too committed but a padded short leaves legs exposed on long descents. Available with and without sewn-in chamois liner.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Cycling Kit Manufacturing
The chamois is the padded insert sewn into cycling shorts and bib shorts that cushions the rider against saddle pressure and prevents chafing on long rides. It is the most important component in any pair of cycling shorts. A quality chamois uses multi-density foam — different foam densities in different zones, with thicker, higher-density padding under the sit bones where pressure concentrates, and thinner, more flexible foam in areas that move with the pedal stroke. Single-density foam found in budget shorts compresses after a few hours and loses its protective function. GYMHUR sources multi-density chamois pads with antimicrobial top fabric in both men’s and women’s-specific anatomical shapes. Women’s pads are wider in the sit-bone area and shorter in the front panel. When specifying your order, advise us of intended ride duration (sportive, club training, racing) and we will recommend the appropriate chamois density and thickness for your buyer.
Bib shorts have integrated shoulder straps (bibs) that hold the shorts in place without a waistband. The bibs eliminate all waistband pressure on the abdomen and keep the chamois correctly positioned throughout the ride, making them the preferred construction for rides over two hours and for competitive cyclists. Padded cycling shorts (waist shorts) use an elasticated waistband without bib straps. They are easier to put on and remove and are the preferred entry-level construction for club kit, event souvenir kit, and riders new to padded cycling apparel. Both constructions use the same chamois pad options and fabric. For club kit orders where the audience includes new and experienced cyclists, we recommend making both options available in the same design. GYMHUR manufactures both from MOQ 50 pieces per design.
Our custom cycling jerseys are manufactured in Polyester/Spandex (90% Polyester / 10% Spandex) at 150–180 GSM. This is the standard performance construction for road cycling, gravel, and club kit globally. The Polyester/Spandex knit delivers full 4-way stretch, excellent moisture-wicking and rapid dry time, and holds full dye-sublimation printing with exceptional colour accuracy and wash durability. The 10% Spandex content provides enough stretch for an aerodynamic racing fit without excessive compression. We can adjust the fabric weight and Spandex percentage within this range depending on whether you require a closer race fit or a more relaxed club fit.
These three jacket constructions serve different conditions and use cases. A waterproof shell jacket uses a waterproof membrane bonded to a ripstop Nylon or Polyester outer with taped seams to prevent water penetration in sustained rain. It is packable, lightweight, and worn when conditions deteriorate mid-ride. A softshell jacket combines a wind and water-resistant outer with a soft fleece inner backing. Heavier and warmer than a shell jacket, it is designed for cold-weather training where full waterproofing is not required but wind protection and warmth are. A shower-proof windbreaker or gilet uses a lightweight woven Polyester with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating that repels light rain and blocks wind without the weight or cost of a membrane jacket. It is the most versatile everyday cycling outerwear piece, available as a full-sleeve jacket or sleeveless gilet. GYMHUR manufactures all three constructions from MOQ 50 pieces per design.
Yes. Women’s cycling kit requires genuinely different patterns, not simply scaled-down men’s sizing. Women’s jerseys are cut with a shorter front panel, narrower shoulders, and waist shaping to fit a female torso correctly in the riding position. Women’s bib shorts and padded shorts use a women’s-specific chamois pad — wider in the sit-bone area and shorter in the front panel to match female anatomy. Women’s bib short bib straps are also available in a drop-seat or front-zip configuration to make nature stops easier without removing the jersey. GYMHUR manufactures men’s and women’s patterns as standard across all cycling kit products from MOQ 50 pieces per design per gender.
Yes — club and event kit is one of our primary markets for cycling apparel. Full dye-sublimation printing allows your club colours, sponsor logos, rider names, race numbers, and any artwork to be printed across the entire garment with no additional cost per colour. The sublimation print is permanent and wash-fast — it will not crack, peel, or fade over the lifespan of the garment. For club kit orders, we can produce a single design in multiple sizes from MOQ 50 pieces total across the size run. For event souvenir kit such as gran fondo jerseys, higher quantities are standard and we can accommodate rush timelines for event deadlines. Contact us with your event date and quantity requirement and we will advise on the production and delivery timeline.
Our minimum order quantity starts at 50 pieces per design — suitable for small club kit runs, new cycling brand launches, and event souvenir kit. Pre-production sampling takes 10–21 days including pattern making, fabric and chamois sourcing, and sublimation artwork approval. Once your sample is approved, bulk production averages 3–4 weeks depending on order complexity. Air freight to the UK, Ireland, Europe, USA, and Australia takes 7–12 days. Sea freight takes 25–40 days. For event kit with a fixed deadline, contact us with your event date and quantity and we will confirm whether air freight production can meet your timeline.
